Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate: A valid yellow fever vaccination certificate is REQUIRED for entry into Uganda. This vaccination is recommended for your health and the prevention of disease transmission. Travel Insurance: While not mandatory, having travel insurance that covers medical expenses and other unforeseen events is highly recommended.

Transit e-visa: For short stopovers, Australians can apply for a transit e-visa, which allows a stay of up to 7 days This type of visa is ideal for travelers in transit through Uganda to their final destination. Visitors are allowed to engage in tourism activities during this period. Transit e-visa cannot be extended.  The e-visa generally forbids visitors to engage in any form of employment activities or work. However, visitors may still visit the country for short-term business trips, or work conference purposes.
