The Governments of Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya jointly introduced the East African visa in 2014 to promote the region's tourism. Typically, travelers to Uganda are required to have a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate as a prerequisite for entry. The vaccination is an important measure to prevent the spread of the disease.
