Do I need a COVID-19 vaccine or other vaccination requirements to enter Uganda?
A COVID-19 vaccine certificate is not mandatory for travelers to Uganda. Generally, if you are vaccinated, you can enter the country without taking a COVID-19 test. On the other hand, unvaccinated travelers who do not have a negative COVID-19 test will be denied entry. You should have a negative COVID-19 test result and follow the health guidelines during your stay. Children under five years old are also exempt from testing.
Additionally, you are required to have a Yellow fever vaccine when applying for a Uganda e-visa. Travel insurance is also necessary, especially for trips abroad. With this insurance, you can be secured if you are unfortunately infected with COVID-19 or experience other unexpected risks during your travel. You can purchase travel insurance plan quickly while completing the online visa application form.
