Can Saudi Arabian citizens get visas upon arrival in Uganda?
Saudi Arabian citizens planning to visit Uganda must ensure they have the appropriate documentation. Except for visa-exempt countries, all travelers, including those from Saudi Arabia, require a Uganda visa for entry. While there are multiple methods for obtaining a Uganda visa, whether online or through an embassy, it is essential to note that Uganda visas are no longer available at Entebbe International Airport.
Up until July 2016, obtaining a Uganda visa at the airport was an option. Travelers could board their flights and obtain the visa upon arrival. However, the Ugandan government decided to replace the visa on arrival with the electronic visa for most countries. With the change, the availability of the online visa system has lowered the frequent delays at the Immigration checkpoints. However, Individuals who arrive in Uganda without a consular visa or who have not registered for an electronic visa will henceforth be returned to their country of origin.
