Can Italian visitors get a Uganda visa on arrival?

At present, the Ugandan authorities do not provide visa-free for the citizens of Italy, therefore, Italian travelers must apply for an e-visa before departing for Uganda. Uganda Immigration Services offers a convenient and efficient online platform for visa application, allowing travelers to complete the entire process from the comfort of their homes or offices. For tourism purposes in Uganda, there are various e-visa options available:

  • Tourist e-Visa: This regular tourist visa allows a single entry and a maximum stay of 90 days in Uganda.
  • East Africa e-Visa: This visa permits multiple entries into Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda within 90 days. It's important to note that this visa cannot be extended. Read more details about East Africa tourist eVisa. 
  • Transit e-Visa: This type of visa allows travelers to remain in Uganda for a maximum of 7 days while in transit to their next destination. The transit visa cannot be extended.
