The Uganda e-visa allows you to remain in the country for up to 90 days from arrival. Uganda Immigration Services offers three types of eVisas to tourists:

• Tourist e-visa: This category permits tourists to remain in Uganda for 90 days with a single entrance and just for tourism purposes.
• East African e-visa: This e-visa allows tourists to visit Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya for 90 days, with multiple entries for tourism-related activities only.
• Transit e-visa: This visa type permits tourists to stay in Uganda for 7 days before going on to their next destination.

Following the guidelines, Hong Kong applicants can apply for a Uganda visa online. The entire process takes no longer than 15 minutes to complete.

• Select “Apply Visa” through the Uganda Immigration Services portal and select the type of visa you require based on the purpose of your visit.
• Enter your personal information, including your name, date of birth, and passport details.
• Provide a clear copy of your passport's biodata page.
• Provide any supporting documents that may be required for your visa type.
• Pay the appropriate visa fee using a credit card. The fee varies depending on the selected service.
• Submit your application and wait for a response within 03 business days.

It should be noted that the eVisa application might take up to three business days to process. As a result, it is strongly advised that you submit your eVisa well before your departure date. Once your application is approved, you will be emailed your eVisa. You should print a copy of your e-visa and bring it with you when traveling to Uganda.

Generally, the processing time for an Uganda eVisa application may take up to 3 business days. Therefore, it is recommended that applicants apply for their eVisa well in advance of their travel date.

• Standard processing is the most affordable option, and it is suitable for travelers who require an eVisa within 03 business days.
• Urgent processing is for travelers who need an eVisa within 24 hours. Although it is faster than the Standard service, applicants must pay an additional fee.
• Super-urgent processing is for applicants who require an eVisa within 05 business hours.

It is important to note that the Uganda eVisa system only accepts payments by credit card. Once the application fee has been paid, it is non-refundable regardless of the outcome.

In some cases, the processing time may be longer if additional documentation is required or the application needs further review. Therefore, it is advisable to allow plenty of time for the visa application process to avoid any last-minute delays.
