What are the visa requirements for Canadian travelers?

Before entering Uganda, Canadian travelers must apply for a visa online which is available on Uganda Immigration Services. After submitting the application form, Canadian residents will receive the Uganda ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) through email in 3 business days. Canadian travelers must first review the Uganda e-visa requirements before applying in order to ensure a smooth and straightforward process.

However, instead of preparing the complicated paperwork when going to the Uganda Embassies, the Uganda Immigration Services has made it easier for Canadian travelers to prepare as few documents as possible in order to make your journey more comfortable. Therefore, Canadian travelers will only have these below extra documents on hand when we require:

  • The passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry to Uganda. Moreover, at least 2 blank pages are left in your passport for stamping.
  • The flight ticket is required for those who want to travel with an East Africa e-visa.
  • A canned copy of the biographic page of the passport which is required to be clear and with no missing lines.
  • A recent photo of yourself with color that shows the whole face.

For some circumstances, the travel itinerary and yellow fever vaccination which is known as Yellow Card might be required in order for e-visa to be processed.
