How long can I stay in Uganda on a tourist visa?

The Uganda eVisa grants a stay of up to 90 days from the date of arrival in the country. Uganda Immigration Services offers three categories of eVisas for tourists:

  • Tourist e-visa: This visa allows tourists to stay in Uganda for up to 90 days with a single entry, exclusively for tourism purposes.
  • East African e-visa: This visa permits tourists to visit Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya for 90 days, with multiple entries limited to tourism-related activities.
  • Transit e-visa: Enables tourists to spend 7 days in Uganda before proceeding to their next destination.

It's crucial to note that the e-visa is intended solely for short-term visits, brief business trips, and tourism purposes.
