How long can Laotian stay in Uganda on a tourist visa?
Since 2016, the Ugandan government has implemented an online application system for electronic visas, benefiting citizens of more than 200 eligible countries, including Laos. This online application process can be completed in just 15 minutes, eliminating the need for lengthy queues at embassies and consulates. Currently, Uganda Immigration Services provides 3 types of e-visas for citizens of Laos:
- Tourist e-visa: This visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance and allows individuals to explore Uganda for leisure within 90 days.
- Transit e-visa: Valid for three months, this visa allows a 7-day stay in Uganda for transit purposes.
- East Africa e-visa: Designed for those who want to travel to multiple countries with a single visa, the East Africa eVisa is valid for three months, permitting a 90-day stay that can be utilized in Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya.
To ensure a quick application process, applicants should review the most common mistakes when applying for the Uganda eVisa and learn how to avoid them.
