How long can Austrian citizens stay in Uganda with an e-visa?
Austrian nationals holding an e-visa can stay in Uganda for a maximum of 90 days for tourism purposes. If an Austrian citizen leaves Uganda during their allotted stay, they must apply for a new visa to re-enter the country.
For tourism purposes, Austrian nationals may apply the following e-visa types:
- Tourist e-Visa: Applicants can enter Uganda for tourism purposes for a maximum of 90 days. This is a single-entry visa and cannot be extended.
- East Africa e-Visa: This e-visa grants multiple entries into Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda for a duration of 90 days. This visa allows tourism purposes and it cannot be extended.
- Transit e-Visa: This visa allows visitors to remain in Uganda for 7 days during a transition to their next destination. The transit visa cannot be extended.
If an Austrian citizen has to stay in Uganda for more than 90 days, they must request an extension to their visa at the official Uganda Immigration authorities before their approved stay term expires.
