Do Burkinabe citizens need a visa for Uganda?
Burkinabe citizens must obtain an Uganda e-visa for their travel. The Ugandan Government has introduced an online travel authorization system in 2016. This visa online system allows eligible citizens, including citizens of Burkina Faso, to apply for their visas online, eliminating the need to visit an Embassy or consulate. This process not only saves your time but also reduces the associated costs compared to traditional visa applications.
Uganda Immigration Services currently provides the following Uganda e-visa types for Burkinabe citizens:
- Tourist e-Visa: The tourist e-visa permits visitors to enter the country for tourism purposes. This is a single-entry visa with a 90-day duration of stay.
- East Africa e-Visa: This e-visa type permits multiple entries into Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda. The visa grants a 90-day duration of stay, however, this visa cannot be extended.
- Transit e-Visa: This visa type allows visitors to remain in the country for 7 days during the transition to the next destination.
