Is a Uganda visa required for Algerian citizens?
Algeria is not on the list of exempt countries for Uganda visas, a visa is required for Algerian visitors to enter Uganda. Fortunately, in 2016, the Ugandan Government introduced an electronic visa (e-Visa) system. This approach permits citizens of eligible countries, including Algerians, to acquire visas entirely online, eliminating the need to visit an Embassy or Consulate.
For tourism purposes, Algerian citizens can select one of the following e-visa types:
- Tourist e-Visa: The tourist e-visa allows visitors to enter the country for tourism purposes for up to 90 days. This e-visa allows a single entry.
- East Africa e-Visa: With this e-visa type, travelers can visit Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda within a 90-day period. This e-visa allows multiple entries
- Transit e-Visa: This e-visa allows visitors to transit through Uganda for a maximum of 7 days. This visa cannot be extended.
