Do Swedish citizens require a visa to visit Uganda?
Swedish citizens planning to travel to Uganda will need to obtain a visa, and Uganda visa-free is not an available option for citizens of Sweden. Uganda Immigration Services provides a convenient online visa application system that allows eligible individuals, including Swedish citizens, to apply for their visas online. This not only saves time but also reduces the associated expenses compared to traditional visa application methods. Currently, our service provides the following types of e-visas for Swedish citizens:
- Tourist e-Visa: This e-visa allows visitors to enter Uganda for tourism purposes and is valid for a single entry with a maximum stay of 90 days.
- East Africa e-Visa: This e-visa permits multiple entries into Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda. It also grants a 90-day duration of stay, and it cannot be extended.
- Transit e-Visa: This visa category allows travelers to stay in Uganda for up to 7 days while in transit to their next destination.
