Uganda Visa For Swiss Citizens - Requirements & Fees

Generally, the Uganda e-visa allows visitors to stay in the country for a maximum of 90 days from the date of arrival. For tourism purposes, Uganda Immigration Services offers three common e-visa types:

• Tourist e-visa: This type allows travelers to stay in Uganda for 90 days with a single entry, exclusively for tourism purposes.
• East Africa e-visa: This e-visa permits travelers to visit Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya within 90 days, with multiple entries for tourism purposes only.
• Transit e-visa: This type allows travelers to stay in Uganda for 7 days during their journey to another destination, and it cannot be extended.

These e-visas are specifically for leisure and tourism purposes, and any form of employment activity is prohibited, with penalties for violations.

Swiss visitors must apply for an online visa in advance through the Uganda Immigration Services website to enter Uganda. Kindly check your Uganda e-visa eligibility before applying to ensure a smooth process. Below are some of the basic requirements for a Uganda tourist e-visa:

- A passport valid for at least 6 months from entry into Uganda, with at least 2 blank pages for visa stamping.

- A copy of the passport's biographic information.
