What is the validity of the East Africa e-Visa?
The Uganda East Africa Visa, also known as the e-visa program, was introduced in June 2016 following an agreement among Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda. This electronic visa allows tourists from eligible countries to travel to any of these three countries using the same visa, irrespective of where it was obtained. The East Africa Visa is exclusively for tourism purposes and remains valid for 90 days from the date of entry into any of these countries.
Applicants can conveniently apply for this visa from their countries without the need to visit the embassies of Uganda, Kenya, or Rwanda in their respective countries. All that is required is an internet-connected smartphone or computer and the necessary documents to complete the online application form.
Applications for this visa must be submitted at any of the Republic of Kenya's, Rwanda's, or Uganda's diplomatic representations, as well as at the respective nations' immigration offices or online, if applicable.
