What happens if I forget to bring my Yellow Fever vaccination certificate?

Uganda requires all visitors to provide proof of Yellow Fever vaccination before entering the country. Other nations demand vaccination confirmation from tourists from countries at risk of yellow fever virus exposure; a travel order may be required for those traveling to numerous countries. Travelers should consult the CDC's website for their destination to see if the Yellow Fever vaccine is necessary or recommended before entering.

You can still proceed with your trip if you forget your Yellow Fever certificate when arriving at Entebbe International Airport. You will be required to receive the vaccination immediately upon arrival, but be aware that there is a service fee of approximately USD 50. In general, the vaccine takes 10 days to start working. Therefore, if you choose to get vaccinated on arrival, you will be without protection during the initial 10 days of your visit to Uganda. Getting vaccinated before your trip is strongly recommended to ensure complete protection from the start.
