How long is the Uganda tourist e-visa valid?
Generally, the Uganda e-visa allows visitors to stay in the country for a maximum of 90 days starting from the arrival date in the country. However, it’s important to keep in mind that depending on the purpose of your trip, the requirements and duration of stay may vary. For tourism purposes, we will provide you with the 3 common e-visa types for Uganda:
- Tourist e-visa: This e-visa permits travelers to stay in the country for 90 days with only a single entry. This e-visa is issued for tourism purposes only.
- East Africa e-visa: The East Africa e-visa permits travelers to visit Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya within a duration of 90 days. The e-visa grants multiple entries for tourism purposes only.
- Transit e-visa: This e-visa type allows travelers to remain in Uganda for 07 days during the transition to another destination. This e-visa cannot be extended.
The above-mentioned e-visa permits visitors to enter the country for leisure and tourism purposes only. Any form of employment activity is banned, and there will be a penalty if you violate the Immigration laws.
